SERVICES WE PROVIDE

CNC MACHINING

At MJS, we can and have produce all kinds of parts on our CNC machines (Computer Numerical Control) -Taking digitized data, a computer and CAM program is used to control, automate, and monitor the movements of a machine, this is achieved by creating toolpaths and NC codes, based on 3D computer model (CAD) data. When the two are used together, this is generally referred to as CAD/CAM.

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN

Computer-aided design (CAD) is the use of computer systems (or workstations) to aid in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design. CAD software is used to increase the productivity of the designer, improve the quality of design, improve communications through documentation, and to create a database for manufacturing. MJS has been involved in many projects over the years thus giving us great experience in this area of work.

CONVENTIONAL MACHINING

At MJS the conventional machining processes are still used as we believe this gives us an advantage on some of the tools we produce, the processes include lathes, milling machines, drill.

BLOW MOULD TOOLING

At MJS we produce tooling for the blow moulding industries. Blow Moulding is the process of forming a molten tube (referred to as the parison or preform) of thermoplastic material (polymer or resin) and placing the parison or preform within a mould cavity and inflating the tube with compressed air, to take the shape of the cavity and cool the part before removing from the mould.

PATTERN MAKING

At MJS, although moving forward with new technology we strongly believe in keeping the old techniques as there are certain jobs that will still benefit from this. Pattern making is essentially a replica of the object about to be cast. Usually made out of wood, metal or model board, patterns are used to create cavities in moulds. It is through pouring molten metal into these moulds that aluminium castings are created.

ROTOMOULD TOOLING

At MJS we produce tooling for the rotational industries. Rotational moulding is a unique plastic moulding process used primarily to create seamless, stress-free, hollow one-piece items. Also called rotomoulding, it is a high temperature, low pressure manufacturing method that combines heat and bi-axial rotation.

REVERSE ENGINEERING

Reverse engineering, is the process by which a object/existing product is deconstructed to reveal its designs, from this we can work with our team to re-create a tool or modify an existing tool.

MODEL MAKING

Model making is where we Starting with a block of raw material (usually model board) and then taking the original 3D CAD model data from the customer and adding contraction if needed. Then we create cutter paths using the latest CAD/CAM software's. The tool follows the cutter path in the CAM software and removes the unwanted material to produce the finished part or product.

FINISHING AND INSPECTION

At MJS we thoroughly inspect all finished parts/tooling to ensure all work has been carried out correctly. we do our best to keep our already excellent reputation on tooling spot on.
